Fix Fuel Flow on Your Outboard Motor

Cleaning your carburetor is only a part of getting the fuel to flow on your outboard motor. For proper maintenance you must clean out and care for the fuel hose system, inlet, outlet and fuel filter.

Carefully pull out the glass bowl nut and remove the fuel filter containing the sintered fuel element. Use B12 or other spray cleaner of your choice to flush from the inside out.

Back-flush the fuel outlet that leads to the carburetor.

Remove the inlet hose clamp and flush thoroughly with B12 spray.

Gently place the glass fuel cup containing the filter element and secure it with the nut.

Screw in the hose clamp and reattach the other end to the carburetor.

You gas can containing the proper fresh gas/oil mixture can now be connected to your motor.

Pray to Sea Gods and all nautical creatures that your motor will now start.
Enjoy sailing but watch out for Mermaids. Their sweet melodies will freeze up your motor once again!
