  1. 2.5mm screws, nuts, and washers
  2. scissors
  3. plastic card
  4. perforator
  5. 2.5mm drill
  6. utility knife
  7. screwdriver

Drilling

Drill two 2.5mm diameter holes on the lid of the toolbox.

Shape the Plastic

Give shape to the plastic card. Using perforator, scissors and utility knife and drill. A detail is that making the corners of the rectangular hole rounded using the perforator will make the part last longer. Trial and error method for the shaping.

Assemble

Use the screws, nuts and washers to secure the plastic part on the lid. Test if the new hasp latch works, if not make the necessary modifications to the plastic card part. If needed start over with a new plastic card.

Voila

I made a few more spare parts just in case for the future. An eco friendly repair that can be repeated if necessary.
