Fishing Pole Stand
I needed something to keep my fishing poles untangled and something to store them instead of a five gallon bucket. I found this to be very easy to make and inexpensive. I used scrap 2 x 4 wood I had laying around. Then I added PVC pipe by screwing them into the wood frame. Add you fishing poles and your set. I might add a handle to it to make it easier to move around.
Tools and Supplies:
Tools
circular saw/ jig saw- to cut 2 x 4's
tape measure
pencil
drill
drill bits
Supplies:
scrap wood 2 x 4's
screws
pvc
tape
Make Wood Frame:
Making the wood frame for this project is pretty straight forward. I used scrap 2 x 4's I had laying around. I used two pieces the the same length for the base. I used 9 inch long pieces. Then I screwed these into the other longer 2 x 4 that was about 20 inches long. The length of this is up to you depending on how many PVC pole holders you are going to have on your stand. I made sure that it sit flat then screwed the 2 x4's together.
Add PVC
I used 1 1/2 inch PVC pipe for the holders on this project. I then used two screws to mount the PVC to the wood frame. The fishing poles are gonna sit on the top screw so PVC has to to be long enough to hold the pole handles. I cut the PVC 8 inches long. I Do have a couple shooter ones cut for ice fishing poles.
Add Poles:
Now all you need to do is add the poles and find a spot to put it. I'm probably gonna add camo tape to the PVC to make it look cooler. You could also paint the PVC before you cut it or attach it. I also might add a handle to move it around easier.
