Drape Your Client

When getting ready to color a client, you have to make sure to drape correctly. Draping properly includes wrapping a towel around their neck and tucking it in the front. You then would put a cape around them as well.

Part the Hair

Part the hair in two sections by going straight down the middle.

Apply, Process, Wait

To apply the color, you will start by taking a thing section from the middle to the front. You start applying the color at the base and then work your way down to the end of the section. You will repeat this until you finish with one side, then repeat on the following side. Once the color has been applied all over the head, you will lay the hair back down and wait about 20-25 minutes to process.

Wash and Blow Dry

When the color has been processed, wash it out. You will shampoo the hair twice to remove all excess color and continue to condition the ends. Style as desired when completely dried.

The more you practice, the faster you will become and get better results each time.
