Fire Pit Grating

With some help from a friend, I build a 4 foot fire pit this year.  After finishing the pit, I realized that I needed a grating to go on the bottom to raise the wood up off from the ground.  I didn't really need it, but I wanted it because it will allow better air flow under the burning logs which will yield more flames.

So the same buddy that helped me put in the pit, helped me construct an octagon fire pit grate made out of 1 1/4" angle iron and rebar.
