Want s'mores and need a way to off-load all of that holiday milk chocolate that's piled up? These s'mores on a stick are the perfect answer. They are fun and easy for younger children (with some assistance) to make and enjoy without needing to build a fire in your backyard. From setting up supplies to enjoying yummy, gooey s'mores took about 5 minutes to complete. There are obviously many ways that these could be made, but this was an activity my 7 year old wanted to do for his first instructable.

Supplies

large marshmallows

graham crackers

leftover holiday milk chocolate (kisses, easter bunnies, hershey's bars, eggs, etc)

plastic forks or wooden khabob skewers (1 per s'more eater)

styrofoam bowls ( 2 per s'more eaters)

couple pieces of masking tape

plastic zip lock baggy

rolling pin (or something heavy to crush graham crackers)

microwave safe bowl (or small pot if you are using the stove)

towel

small mason jar (or other coverable container to hold the chocolate for dipping)

napkins/paper towels (for messy fingers)

optional: other candies crushed and mixed with the graham crackers

Assemble Your S'more Holder

1. Punch a hole through the top bowl using your plastic fork. (this was easier to do before putting the bowls together).

2. Using a couple pieces of masking tape, tape two bowls together. This will create your s'more holder while it cools off.

Crumble Your Crackers

1. Place graham crackers in a ziplock bag.

2. Squeeze out excess air from the bag before sealing.

3. Wrap the bag with the towel.

4. Using a rolling pin crush the graham crackers into small pieces.

5. Pour crushed graham crackers into a small bowl.

Melt the Chocolate

1. Unwrap and start placing your leftover pieces of milk chocolates into a microwave safe bowl.

2. Place the bowl into the microwave and heat the chocolate for 30 seconds. Using a spoon check and stir the chocolate until it is melted and blended. (The bowl will get hot so use the towel/pot holder to handle the bowl)

3. Pour the melted chocolate into a small mason jar or other cylindrical container for dipping. We used the mason jar for the easy storage capability.

Load Your Fork

1. Skewer a marshmallow by placing it onto the end of your plastic fork.

2. Dip your marshmallow into the jar of melted chocolate. (Only dip the top half of the marshmallow. We made the mistake of fully submerging the marshmallow and had way too much chocolate)

3. Cover the s'more with crackers by touching the chocolate marshmallow to the bowl of crackers, making sure to cover the whole surface.

Cool Off, Then Enjoy, Then Start Over.

1. Now place your completed s'more through the hole of your s'more holder and wait for your chocolate to cool off. (we made the mistake of putting the hole at the end and realized it's much easier to push the hole before you start the s'more)

2. Using the paper towel/napkin, pull your s'more fork out and enjoy your s'more.

3. Once you have finished your s'more, repeat. :)
