Ferris Wheel Bookshelf

When I was at my desk either to play games or to work on things, I usually find myself having little space to work with so I wanted to get a shelf. An ordinary shelf would be fine but I thought it would be better if I could make the shelf seem more decorative. So I created the Ferris Wheel Shelf. I don't like having many colors so I tried to keep the coloring on my wheel to a minimum so sorry if it seems ugly or plain.

What's on the Market

So when looking up "Ferris wheel shelf" or "rotating shelf" on google shopping and amazon, I find many Ferris wheel shelves but they were all designed to be placed on a flat surface and they seem to be very limited on what items they can carry

Sketches

I grabbed a notebook and started to sketch a rough draft of how the Ferris wheel shelf would look like.

First thing I did on Fusion 360 was make the shelves and I created 2 different shelves, one with a front and one without one.

Bolts

I created 2 different bolts, one to hold the shelves and one to hold the entire wheel.

The Wheel

The wheel it self was pretty simple to make and it has a diameter of 24 inches with a hole with a diameter of 3.5 inches. It also has a thickness of 0.65 inches.

After assembling all the parts I was able to create this rotating wheel with shelves
