Pickled Garlic

Fun and easy way to keep garlic for the winter!

Although the garlic can survive the winter in your pantry by itself, this is a recipe for all of you who are interested in trying some sour, soft garlic that you can use in salads, sandwiches, and any other way that you like!

Ingredients

For this delicious pickled garlic you will need:

- 150 gr garlic

- 100 ml white wine vinegar

- 1 tsp himalayan salt

- 1 tsp sugar

- 1 tsp peper

- 1 tsp thyme

- jar with a lid

Preparing

You will need to clean the garlic, and while you are doing that, place the jar into the oven (use some baking tray so the jar is not touching sides of the oven) and turn it on to 100°C to sterilize. Put cleaned garlic in the jar.

Use some kitchen gloves and be very careful, the jar will be very HOT!

Boiling Vinegar

Heat up vinegar and spices. Wait until bubbles show up :)

Finish

Pour the hot vinegar over the garlic in the jar. Close the jar tightly, wrap it in some thick cloth and let it sit for at least 24 hours. Take the cloth off and you are all done! Keep your jars in some dark place, and wait at least one week before you open it and enjoy the deliciousness of pickled garlic!
