I have created a fashion photography disaster. This idea came to my head because I am into fashion design and photography. I wanted to create something that could maybe even be funny. The idea of it being a "disaster is that you are trying to design the perfect dress for an advent but you cannot decide so it eventually became a "Fashion Photo Disaster". The sketchbook in the center has 4 different dresses that I have designed. I am an amateur at both photography and fashion design but I knew I could put together a beautiful photo for this contest.
Supplies
The supplies that I used for this photo were:
- newspaper
- sketchbook
- scissors
- cut up fabric
- measuring tape
- buttons
- pin
- necklaces
- doll shoes
- thread
- pencil
- elastic band
- rotary cutter
- needle threader
Of course if you would like to recreate this photo you could use more or less items also. Everything is your choice.
Draw the Dresses

What I did first was draw and design the 4 dresses shown in the photo. It did not need to be anything super crazy being called a "disaster". I then put all of the few word questions around all of the models to give it a more vibrant look.
Add Newspaper and "props"
![20220105_174412.jpg](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FUH/P1WU/KY1JZKE8/FUHP1WUKY1JZKE8.jpg&filename=20220105_174412.jpg)
I laid around 5 pieces of newspaper on the floor as my background for the photo. I then put my sketchbook in the middle of the newspaper and laid fabrics, and other sewing tools on the sketchbook and around. I even added a pencil to show that they were drawings.
Take the Photo

I finally took the photo of it all laid out. Now ready to edit.
Adding the Perfect Filter
![Screenshot_20220105-174735_Polish.jpg](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FVO/2CW5/KY1JZKEQ/FVO2CW5KY1JZKEQ.jpg&filename=Screenshot_20220105-174735_Polish.jpg)
I added a filter called "warm" to the photo. I just used an app on my phone for all of the editing.
Adjust Brightness and Contrast
![Screenshot_20220105-174829_Polish.jpg](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FJI/A5IC/KY1JZKLA/FJIA5ICKY1JZKLA.jpg&filename=Screenshot_20220105-174829_Polish.jpg)
I adjusted the brightness on the photo by -10 and adjusted the contrast by -20.
Add Dark on the Outside
![Screenshot_20220105-174848_Polish.jpg](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FS9/55CY/KY1JZKO1/FS955CYKY1JZKO1.jpg&filename=Screenshot_20220105-174848_Polish.jpg)
I next added a filter called "vignette" that darkened the edges of the photo.
Add "grain"
![Screenshot_20220105-174924_Polish.jpg](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/F34/X5GH/KY1JZKRV/F34X5GHKY1JZKRV.jpg&filename=Screenshot_20220105-174924_Polish.jpg)
Then I added "grain'' to the photo which made the photo look like it has well grains on it.
Glitch

The last edit I did was add a very small glitch.
Final Product

This is the final product after editing. I think it turned out really well.
