Fancy Dinner Napkins

If you are planning a formal occasion and plan on decorating the dinner table, here are two variations on folding cloth napkins into either a "V-fold" or a elegant rose.

Have the napkin with the seam side facing upwards.

Fold the napkin corner to corner from the six o'clock to the twelve o'clock position.

Fold the bottom left and right corners of the triangle to the top-center point.

Flip the napkin over with the folded-in corners facing downward at the six o'clock position.

Fold the bottom at the six o’clock position to the twelve o’clock position.

Fold the corners from the three o’clock position over to the nine o’clock position.

Place the napkin with longest side of the fold facing down. You should have the two tails facing away from you.

Have the napkin with the seam side facing upwards.

Fold corner to corner from the six o'clock position to the twelve o'clock position.

Begin to roll the bottom of the triangle upwards until it is approximately four inches from the top point.

Rotate 90 degrees and begin to roll upwards from the bottom point of the roll to the top point.

Tuck the tail end of your created roll into the bottom of the rose so that it doesn't unravel.

Flip the rose over and fold over the "petal" of the rose. It should then stand upright.
