So recently I went to Orlando Megacon and really wanted to make something stand out from my fallout cosplay. I could not find a single person online who had made a cazador, so it was perfect. It was about a 2 and a half day non stop build of me fully patterning and crafting it myself. It was also fairly cheap considering the results.

Supplies

-Insulation foam board

-eva foam

-red sculpey

-instamorph

-LOTS of hot glue

-pvc pipe

-plasti dip

-acrylic paints

-spray adhesive

-colorshift blue galaxy paint

-polycrylic

-sanding and carving tool

-pantyhose

-wire hangers/ metal wire

-razorblade

Carving the Foam

First you're gonna stack the insulation foam to make carvable blocks out of them. Attach the sheets together with the spray adhesive. Once your blocks are made, trace the shape of the body parts onto the blocks and start carving them into their shapes. Once carved down, sand it then begin carving in details.

Detailing

When carving your details, draw them on first to plan how you want it to look, and mark where the attachments and legs will go. Once finished, use the polycrylic to thoroughly seal the foam, then coat with plasti dip.

Making the Wings

Form the metal wire into the shape of the wings, then slide the panthose over the frame and cut off the excess. use a razor to fray and damage the wings. once done, use yellow spray paint as a base for the wings, then fade the edges with an orange and brown or dark red. Once its dry, use black acrylic paint to paint the edges of the wing and paint the veins.

Face and Legs

For the face, you're gonna use the instamorph to form the antennae, the sculpey to make the eyes, and eva foam for the mandibles and spikes. I used hot glue to attach everything and even used it for detailing the legs and mouth. To add to the legs and make them hairy, let the hot glue drip from them and pull it as it dried to make the hot glue webs.

Paint

The painting is mainly up to you, I based the body with black, highlighted with brown, and misted it with the colorshift paint.

Assembly

Last thing you're gonna carve out holes for the connections, fill them with hot glue, and use the pvc pipe to connect the body together. do the same with the legs, and paint over any excess hot glue.

Finished!

This was my first time making an instructable, and my first time building something like this, i'm still pretty new to prop making but i'm super happy with how it came out!
