Fabric From Material Scraps

Fabric lovers and those who sew, there's a way to make fabric from all your little scraps to create something truly unique and awesome, like the big satchel bag I made using entirely scraps...which I think is unique and awesome!

You will need: fabric scraps, sticky back iron on fusible netting (I use the Heat Bond brand), scissors, muslin, an iron and a surface to iron on such as an ironing board or a towel.

Place your fabric scraps face down on your ironing surface and cut out a square from your iron on fusing.

Following the instructions described on the fusing package, lay your square of fusing face down on the lined up scraps.

Set your iron to the recommended setting and iron on the fusing to the back side of your scraps.

Let your fusing and fabric scraps cool a little bit, then peel off the paper backing from the fusing.

Turn over your square, right side up, and with the paper backing removed, lay your square down on the muslin. Iron the scrap fabric square to the muslin.

Imagine the possibilities of all the beautiful, unique and vibrantly colored things you can make from your scrap fabric!!
