Cut Images Out of Felt With a Cricut

Cut the shapes you have chosen out of the felt using your Cricut machine.
Cut Your Fabric and Batting

Cut 4 pieces of fabric measuring 7x14 inches. Cut 4 pieces of batting measuring 6x13 inches. Cut 2 pieces of white felt measuring 5x5 inches.
Attach Batting to Fabric

Center a piece batting on the back of each piece of fabric and pin in place.
Position Felt Squares and Images on Fabric

Pin the white felt squares on a diagonal on top of the fabric/batting piece that will make up the front and back cover. Position one cut felt shape at both ends of each fabric/batting piece and pin in place (or tack in place with a bit of glue).
Stitch Felt Pieces to Fabric and Batting

Stitch the cut felt to the fabric and batting using embroidery floss. Add any additional stitched details that you’d like.
Make a Page by Sewing Stitched Pieces Together

Make one page spread by placing 2 stitched pieces right sides together and pin in place. Machine sew around the edges using a ½ or 5/8 inch seam allowance. Leave about 4 inches unstitched so that you can turn the spread right side out.

Clip the corners of the pages on a diagonal and turn the pages right side out. Fold down the open edges and pin in place. Hand stitch the opening closed.
Machine Stitch Around Edge of Page Spread

Top stitch around the edge of the page spread using the sewing machine if desired.
Repeat for the second page spread.
Stitch the Page Spreads Together

Stack the 2 page spreads and pin together at the center. Draw a rectangle about 1x5 inches in the center of the inside spread using a fabric pen. Machine stitch through all layers on the fabric pen line to join the 2 spreads together.
Add a Book Spine

If desired, cut a piece of felt or fabric about 1.5x6 inches for a book spine and hand stitch in place.
