Recent research has led to the development of new tools called exoskeletons, which focus on responding to the different needs of human beings.

When talking about a hip or spine problem, a simple answer to this problem is exoskeletons, since in addition to helping to keep the body standing, turning, walking and working, reducing fatigue or work on the body. They also aid in the rehabilitation of patients with these ailments, as they can help people regain muscle strength and mobility after injury or surgery. By providing external support, exoskeletons can help patients perform rehabilitation exercises more effectively and with less pain.

The objective of this project is to make a scale exoskeleton to be able to replicate the movements of walking in people for the improvement of patients. This exoskeleton will be 30 cm in dimension and will be driven by servomotors programmed with the arduino card.

  • sketches for every part of the exoesqueleton will be designed with the require measurements
  • each measure was designed keeping in mind the 30cm scale of the exoesqueleton and the gait cycle
  • this will then be designed in solidworks

  • using servomotors and all the cut parts we ensembled the exoesqueleton

Tests of Servo Movments

  • after assembling the whole structure, we test each servo motor to see if they worked using the example code for servomotors in arduino's software
