Screw or glue two wood pieces together, after that you can drill your bottle from its side and then drill another hole on top of its cap. The side hole will be for the hose going into the air pump. The reason you need an air pump is to provide air into the bottle because no air means no combustion.

Attach the Pump and the Pvc Pipe

Attach the air pump to the hose with super glue and some zip ties. Use hot glue to attach the pvc pipe to the bottle, then tape it to the wood, you can put some more scrap wood to align the pvc pipe with the bottle cap.

The pvc pipe doesn't need a valve but I used it because I already had this piece.

Make the Lighter Mechanism

With two screws or nails in your pvc pipe you can make a trigger. Attach cables to the screws and then you can attach an electronic lighter mechanism to the cables. Make sure to place the nails close enough each other but not touching each other. This mechanism will create quarks to fire the ethanol gas.

Launch Some Potatoes!

Use about 1 mililiter of liquid ethyl alcohol each launch. Use the air pump after each shot and refill the alcohol for another shot. After filling the alcohol wait at least 30-40 seconds for it to evaporate. Squeze little potatoes in the pipe and launch it!

Ethyl alcohol is an extremely flammable liquid, use it at your own risk. I am not responsible for any possible consequences.
