  • Tasmanian Oak Wood (sustainable choice)

  • Glue Gun

  • Pencil
  • Sand Paper
  • 'Gillys' Chopping Board Oil (sustainable choice)

Cutting Wooden Blades

The first step is to measure the correct size of the wood. There is 8 blades that will be made. 25 mm in height & 175 mm in length. Once correctly measured use the drop saw to cut your pieces.

Cutting Edges to Fit Equally

Once all blades have been cut, you then want to cut the edges of each blade to a point so each blade can slot into the centre evenly. Using sanding paper sand off the edges to make them smooth, this will make it easier for the pieces to slot in.

Cutting Handles

Using the circular wooden piece, cut two handles to your liking. Cut it to fit your hand size.

Glue Together

Using a hot glue gun to stick all pieces together. Making sure every piece is slotted straight to maximise a perfect cut of a pizza.

Adding Wooden Piece for Strength

To ensure the blades stay stuck together we must add an extra piece of wood to the top centre of the cutter. Once cut you can glue on using the hot glue gun. Let the glue dry before proceeding to the next step

Oiling the Cutter

Using a cloth, apply 2-3 coats of chopping board oil on each section of the cutter. This is an important part of the making of this cutter as to use it in the kitchen it needs to be made food safe so that we can enjoy our food with no problems.
