End Table
End table for my woodshop class.
I picked oak wood and then I cut out my wood for the legs, sides, leg stretchers, back, apron, drawer guides, and drawer runners. Then planed the wood to 3/4".
Next I jointed my boards so the I can then follow up with the power miter saw and table saw to cut to proper length. Once they are cut I bring them to a table and sand them.
Then I took a nail gun and nail the sides to the drawer guides. Then I make pocket holes with the jig in the drawer guides, back, and apron.
Next I took my 4 legs to the drill press putting 2 hole that stop half way trough your board close to each end. Then you place them on the sides of the drawer guides with the pocket hole facing down and pre-drill and follow with the drilling.
Then I took my leg stretchers and lined up the holes with the leg stretchers and continued with my pre-drilling and drilling.
Then I drilled the back to the legs and same with apron to the front.
I grab some oak pieces and ran them trough the planner to get one side smooth then put them through the jointer. With the smooth edges I glued them together creating a bigger piece of wood for the top. When it's dry I ran it through the planner then added a decoctive edge.
Then I cut the pieces for the drawer and plan them and cut a slit near the bottom for the drawers bottom. I plow the sides of the drawer front. Then cut drawer bottom then attach it to the rest of the drawer and glue it together. I bought a handle and drill a hole in the front for it.
I then drilled the legs to the top. I went outside and spray a clear coat to it.
Done.
