End Table

This is how I made my end table!

On day one, I cut out all of my pieces including the 2 sides, the back, the 4 legs, 2 leg stretchers, and the apron. All of the boards are squared and need sanding

Step 2 was the sanding process. Using the palm sander, each face and each edge was sanded with 120 grit sand paper. After that, I double checked that I had all my pieces finished and done. Finally, I took my sides, my apron, and my back and routed them giving them a decorative edge as seen in image 1.

For step 3, holes were made on the drill press for our screws when assembly occurs. We also used the krig jig to make pocket holes for our sides and back and apron. Along with that, all pieces were stained with one coat of dark wood stain and dried for 72 hours.

Next, I glued two, 9 inch boards together and let that dry for bout 24 hours. Once dry, I sent it through the planer to a thickness of 3/4 an inch and cut it down to 17inx17in to make it square. Then I added a decorative edge on the router and sanded the entire thing. Following this i added stain to make it match the rest of my table.

I cut out my pieces needed to make the drawer that will go into my end table when finished .
Finally, I assembled my drawer with glue and let it dry overnight. The next day, i made sure my drawer fit correctly and once set perfectly I screwed the top of my table to the table itself. After screwing it all in and making the fit correct, I put the drawer in and it fits nicely. Finally, i screwed a knob to my drawer and took it home.
