Emulsion Glass
Hello!
I made an emulsion in a glass. It looks very nice and if you shake it, the colors will move.

Materials and Tools
You will need:
- a hot glue gun
- a board
- a pencil
- a needle
- a spoon
- oil
- water
- syrup/food coloring (It's esential that the syrup doesn't dissolve in the oil.)
- the glass lid of a glass jar (I used a coffee-jar. The lid must have a plastic underside)
- a toothpick (not on the foto)
Mixing
First, mix the water and the syrup, so you will get a red liquid. You can use the spoon if you want.
Preparing the Lid
Take the glass lid and pierce the plastic part of the lid with the needle. There is a small hole in the lid now. Enlarge that hole with a pencil.
Fill the Lid
Pour some of the oil on the plastic surface. Press with the toothpick on the surface, but don't pierce the plastic. By pressing, you will create a low pressure. That will cause that the lid sucks the oil in the lid. Repeat this till you have a third of the lid filled. (The foto's are from pouring the red water, but with oil, it's exactly the same.)
Fill the Lid
This is exactly the same as the last step, only you use the red water instead of the oil:
Pour some of the red water on the plastic surface. Press with the toothpick on the surface, but don't pierce the plastic. By pressing, you will create a low prssure. That will cause that the lid sucks the red water in the lid. Repeat this till you have a third of the lid filled.
Close the Lid
Glue the hole, so it's closed. Make sure you put enough glue in/on the hole, so it won't leak.
Watch It Move
It's finished. You can shake it and watch the liquids move.
