This is a DIY home made TV "bunny ears" antenna that can be used to get a signal.

Supplies

All you are going to need for this is a coat hanger and some pliers.

Straightening Out the Coat Hanger

For this step all you will need to do is put the part of the hanger that is curved into your pliers. You then want to twist the pliers until you have unraveled the curved part. You will be left with a straight coat hanger.

Wrap the two ends of the hanger together. Use pliers if needed to make the twist tight. Leave open area at the top (second picture) And leave some of the two "tails" together(third Picture) . These will be the bunny ears

Next you want to go to the two tails that you have left from the last step. Cut one end off at the base making sure that on that side only the wrap remains. Straighten out the other tail leaving a small portion curving off at a 90 degree angle. This part will go into your TV

Congratulations you have finished all of the hard work! All that's left to do now is use the antenna on your TV.

This is the final step. You want to go behind your TV and find a port that is labelled "cable/antenna" or just "antenna". Plug the 90 degree angle part into the port and angle the antenna until you get a signal!
