Emergency Light Sensor and LED Illuminator

IMG_2363.jpg

This project is a modification of Utsource's project, "RGB LED Interfacing with Arduino." The original project was supposed to demonstrate how RGB LED can be used with an Arduino interface. The purpose of this device is to illuminate the direction of the exit during an emergency when lights are out. With this modification, we can further demonstrate the applications of the RGB LED.

This modification includes an extra part - the light-dependent resistor. The light-dependent resistor and the new code will enable the device to detect the luminosity of the environment and change the light intensity by reducing resistance.

Preparing the Parts

- wires

-4 resistors

-1 RGB LED
-1 light dependent resistor

-Arduino Leonardo Board

-Breadboard

-USB cable

Connecting the Circuits

Connect the circuits as shown in the image. The product should function like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beV1B4VKAo0

Setting Up the Code

After installing the Arduino app, open this code: https://create.arduino.cc/editor/ethanchou/92856d10-ac7d-4367-852b-5d1d3d228091/preview

Final Assembly
