Embroidered Filigree Earrings "Purple Rain"
Jewelry making is the art of knowing how to invent and renew yourself.
Jewelery has crossed the ages and continued to evolve with the discovery of new materials: gold, silver, platinum, steel… Since the dawn of time, we have known the manufacture of jewelry based on molten metals.
Today, jewelry has become modernized. They are made from different materials, each more original than the other.
For my part, in this instructable, I have chosen to show you how I modernized an old embroidery technique (soutache cords) on clothing in order to create unique jewelry with original materials and styles.
It's about revolutionizing the art of jewelry to break the codes.
Here is how the "Purple Rain" Earrings are made: Unique Haute Couture piece, embroidered with fine needle, decorated with fine stones and filigree metals.

Initial Piece
Thread approximately 1 meter of nylon thread into the needle.
Take 2 blue soutache cords and 1 silver cord (the middle one).
Sew these 3 cordes giving them a rounded shape then attach the amethyst bead in the center. Pass the needle from side to side of the pearl.
Then join all the strings together. Sew 3 small silver beads under the amethyst bead and one on each side. Fold the soutache cords behind, cut them and join them together.
I chose the example from this Instructable on the pink and silver model. But the technique is the same for the 2 in the last photo.
Central Part: Straight Line
When the initial part is made, take 4 blue faceted beads and sew in the middle of the 2 rows of purple soutache cords.
Sew the soutache cords individually in groups of 3, then insert the beads by passing the needle from one side to the other.
Central Part: the Angles
Leave a length of a few centimeters on each side to make the 4 angles. Insert a pink cubic crystal bead in each corner then fold the soutache cords behind. Join them, cut and sew to align them parallel.
Give a Rounded Shape
Take 2 purple soutache cords and 1 silver placed towards the inside. Hold them together giving them enough length to go around the steel ring, plus a few extra centimeters.
Secure the Ring
Insert the ring in the center of the soutache cords then join them with the nylon. Secure the ring by passing the sewing needle through all the soutache cords at different points equidistantly. Then sew the 6 soutache cords together straight over 2 centimeters.
Fix the Leaves
Place 2 filigree leaves in the center of the ring. They have a small hole. They must be aligned centering the leaves on the jewel.
Sew them by passing soutache cords from side to side then attach 3 crystal beads of different colors (green, blue and turquoise) and 3 small silver beads on each.
Assembly and Fixing of Various Parts
When the sheets are fixed, you must turn the different pieces upside down. Place the ring on the central part. Cut the soutache cords that move and glue. Leave to dry for a while then secure the initial part with 2 blue crystal beads. Finally, sew the ear closure, leverback type, with a small silver bead on each side.
Finishes
Cut 2 small strips of purple fabric to stick on the fittings for a more beautiful finish.
Final Result
Jewelry was considered a sign of wealth in the past. Today, the real wealth is knowing how to embellish jewelry in an original way to increase creative styles. Jewelry is no longer a social barrier that divides population classes, it now unifies people in their style and/or their well-being. He also stood out to make us unique.
