Elephant Brush Holder

I am a sophomore in Monta Vista High School in California.

An ordinary brush holder often collects old water and eventually becomes more gross than the dishes you need to clean. Additionally the counter underneath the brushes become gross. Unlike others, this brush holder attaches to the base of the faucet for easy access and avoids the disgusting mess that appears on your counter. In addition to this, if water gets collected in the holder itself, it gets drained using the elephants trunk.

Supplies

  • fusion 360
  • 3D printer

  • Using fusion 360, create a semi circle body big enough to hold brushes so that the back lays flat when attached to the sink.
  • In the front of the holder create a pipe for the trunk that cuts into the body making sure it is completely hollow
  • Create two knuckles facing inwards for the hinge. Place them about the length of one knuckle apart.
  • Make two eyes and ears

Finish up the holder by simply lining up the knuckles and sliding the pin through the holes.
