Electronics Tip : Making an Instant Vice / Vise.

If you want to grip something firmly for soldering, all you need is a pair of pliers and an elastic band.  You can vary the grip force by changing band thickness or length and by moving it closer or further away from the jaws. Closer to the jaws = less force.  Simple, quick and effective.
