Well, it seems I am the only person in the known universe who thinks this is a cool idea,

I cut a 1/2" hole in my bumper to allow the cable to pass thru, I used shrink tubing to protect the (pretty sensitive) cable , passed it into my trunk, and have the power box / adapter in there, whole process takes about an hour to do, It has pretty amazing results
