Electrical Tape Organizer
Here is a simple solution to organizing electrical tapes.
Tubing an inch longer and a diameter smaller than your tape rolls. I used PVC since I already had some, but you could use metal tubing as well.
2x Lynch Pins with a ring diameter greater than your tubing.
A drill bit the size of the lynch pins, I also recommend that you clean up the drilled holes lightly with a countersink.
A scrap of a medium grit sandpaper.
A spare lanyard.
Prep the Tube
Once you have measured and cut your tubing, slide and center it through your tape and make two marks a 1/4" (depends on lynch pin size) from the edge of the tape rolls.
Measure the lynch pins with a drill gauge and grab a drill bit to make the holes for the pins.
Drill through the tubing at the marks and lightly countersink to clean up any stray pieces.
At this point I took some medium grit sandpaper and cleaned up the edges of the tube and the inside of the holes.
Assemble
Insert a lynch pin through the side of the tube you want to be the bottom and flip the ring to lock it on.
Slide the tape on the tubing and grab other pin and the lanyard.
Slide the pin through the first hole and the lanyard hook before sliding it completely through.
Thread the lanyard through the ring and now you can close the ring of the pin.
Finished
Ta da! Convient way of carrying around several rolls of tape that you can clip to your belt when working at heights.
