Electrical Panel Safe

I Use an Electrical Panel to secure valuables.

Empty electrical panels of various sizes are easily purchased at any big box outlet.

The panel can be mounted at any convenient location.

  • A fire-resistant location is preferred.
  • A panel with an interior shield will further protect valuables.
  • The interior panel can be locked using a security screw that requires a special tool for removal.

Inside the panel, I mounted plastic coin cases using double-sided tape. You can see the coin slots, valuables, and cash in the photo.

I added some decals to make the box look more lethal. Standard wool insulation can be added to cover valuables and offer further fire protection.

The closed panel looks like an electrical box.

Will a thief even open it?
