The elastic Swing is very light and comfortable.
It's also very portable, you can put it in a simple shoulder bag.
Once you've installed the swing, the fun can begin.

Step 1: Aluminium Frame

What do you need?
- a person who can weld aluminium
- aluminium profile (90°), with a length of 1m60

To weld aluminium is not easy. Look for someone who can do it. The frame is made by folding 3 corners followed by welding the ends together (forms the fourth corner) so you become a frame of 40 cm to 40 cm, which is ideal for sitting.

Step 2: Drill the Holes for the Puller

What do you need?
- a punch
- a drilling machine
- a drill (diameter: 4,2)
- a drill (diameter: 8,5)

This picture shows you the position of the holes. But notice that the holes must be drilled in the raised sides of the profile, not the bottom side.

To drill the holes you first take a punch to make a small drain so the drill wont slip away and the hole is positioned at the right spot.

After this we drill the holes. First we put a drill of 4,2 on the drillingmachine, afterwards we drill with an 8,5 drill.

Step 3: Attach the Puller

What do you need?
- a blue puller (6,5 m with a diameter of 8 mm)
- a lighter
- claps
- pincers
- Lineman's pliers

You start at one of the sides where you have 10 holes. You start from the inside of the profile and make a temporary knot. Know you go to the next hole and tear the puller through the hole at the opposite side. For the first puller this is very simple. When you reached the last hole you make again, a temporary knot. You end up at the same side where you started (in the tenth hole).

For the second puller it is slightly more difficult. You start the same way, but, when you’re going to the opposite hole, you have to pass puller 1 for 8 times. You do this by weaving the puller through it. First you go over the puller, next time you go under the puller and so on. In the end you make a knot like you did before.

Now we will finish off the ends (temporary knots).

First you remove the knot, you put a clap over the puller and squeeze the end with the pincers.

Then you give some more pressure with the Lineman’s pliers so that it stays securely in place.

To end we melt the ends with a lighter.

Step 4: Make Holes for the Attachment of the Ropes

What do you need?
- a punch
- a drilling machine
- a drill (diameter: 4,2)
- a drill (diameter: 8,5)

This is the same as the other holes we drilled (step 2). But notice, here we drill the holes in the bottom side of the profile.

Step 5: Grinding Carbon Tubes

16 (2).jpg

What do you need?
- tape
- carbon tube of 70 cm
- grinding machine

When you draw a pencil line on the tube it is not visible. That’s why I use tape to mark my size (33,5 cm).

Then grind the tube next to the tape. You do this twice (you need two tubes).

Step 6: Fixing the Ropes

17 (2).jpg

What do you need?
- 2 ropes with a size of 10m (diameter: 8)
!Notice the capacity of you rope

The rope first goes through the frame(1). This happens through the flat side of the profile (top side of the swing). After that it goes in the tube (2), and at the other side of the tube it comes back out (3). Finally, you go through the frame again and you end again at the top side of the swing. You follow this proces twice (at each side one rope).

Step 7: Finish the Ropes

20.jpg

What do you need?
- 2 clams (same ones like step 3)
- 1 carabiner
- pincers
- Lineman’s pliers
- a lighter

At each side, the ropes come together at 1,25m. I do this by fixing a clam around the two sides of the rope at 1,33m. Go back to step 3 to attach the claps.

Then I make a loop at the end of every rope.

To end I attach the 4 loops at the carabiner.

How Can I Change the Height?

What do you need?
- 1 carabiner
- 1 S-shape
