Egyptian Name Keychain

1st grader students worked on Egypt and wrote their names using Egyptian hieroglyphs. Using a template created in Tinkercad, I cut out keychains in wood and engraved their drawing using a laser cutter.

I used Tinkercad to create the out shape of the keychain.

I grouped and aligned the shape using a few shapes such as cubes and cylinders to create a 3D object.

My 1st grade collegue created a template using Pages so students were guided to know where to place their hieroglyph. You may see an example attached. She scanned the documents. Then, I made a screenshot of the area where the hyeropglyphs were placed ( not the frame and not the arrows around it ).

Combining the Outline of the Keychain and the Student Drawing

We have a muse laser cutter at school.

I used the SVG outline of the keychain pendant as a vector line and added the drawing of each student on it as raster. I had to resize it.
