Egg Shell Planters

These easy to make egg shell planters are a great way to display a variety of plants, From a mini herb garden to fun spring flowers these planters will add a fun and unique touch to your home anytime of year.

Supplies

-Eggs

-Spoon

-Bowl

-Thumbtack

-soil

-something to plant

Preparing Your Egg

Using the back of a spoon gently tap the top of the egg until it is slightly cracked, then carefully remove the cracked portion of the egg shell until you have a small hole.

Cleaning Your Egg

Empty your eggs into a bowl, Then rinse and dry out your egg shell. You can now remove some more of the top portion of the egg with your fingers to make an opening the size you want.

Create a Drain Hole

Using a thumbtack pock a small hole in the bottom of your egg shell to use as a drainage hole.

Plant!

It is now time to plant! There are many things that you could plant but a few ideas include seeds, small flowers, herbs and small succulents. Fill your egg shells with soil and then add your desired plant. Place your egg shell planters in your egg carton and give them some water and sunlight. You have now finished your egg shell planters!
