Gently tap the top of the egg against a hard surface until it has a small crack. Use your thumb to push in on the cracked part of the shell. The shell should break and leave you with a small hole. If you can, remove any shell that has broken off and throw it away. Now that you have a small hole, use your fingers to gently pick off small pieces of the shell until you have an opening big enough for the yolk to fit through. Then, pour everything out, wash the shell and let it dry.

Twist the balloon lights to turn them on. Place one light in each compartment of the carton and cover with an eggshell. Or, put the light inside the eggshell and place it down. Done.
