Efficient Planter
In this inscrutable you will make an Efficient Planting system using the Tinkercad !
Hello all! For years I have tried to grow plants, but they all failed. Do you know why? I was watering them regularly, but they were not getting enough water at their roots, causing them to die. Thus I made this planter, which delivers water to the plants root throughly. We will be making an easy to use efficient planting system using Tinkercad! You can easily grow 2 small plants in here and water them with ease, along with growing them to their highest potential. The only things you will need to create the design is a Computer, Autodesk Tinkercad Account ( Link is below, and register if you have not yet already ), and a mouse is recommended for easy navigation around the interface.

One of the reasons I love Tinkercad more than any other CAD Tool is because it is keeps things simple and basic, and the commands are easy to use in order to create complex figures. Well then, without further ado, let's get started!
Creating the Plant Pots and Attaching Them Together
Ok, so first start a CAD Tinkercad project, and have the workspace blank. Now follow the instructions I am going to tell you below, they are also in the pictures above for image reference.
• First, drag and drop 2 cylinders from the basic shapes category and color them brown. ( Picture 1 )
• Next, scale the cylinders to a 26 length and 26 width millimeter measurement. ( Picture 2 )
• Then, put them to a height of 26 millimeters. ( Picture 2 )
• Now, drag and drop a box from the basic shapes category and color it brown. ( Picture 3 )
• Levitate the box to 4 millimeters, the width of the box to 6 millimeters, and the length of the box to 20 millimeters, and position the rectangle between the 2 cylinders.
• Next, drag the rectangle up 7 millimeters and group everything together.
• Now, create 2 cylinder holes that have a diameter of 22 millimeters and a height of 26 millimeters.
• Position the holed cylinders inside the cylinders that you have already created and levitate the holes up 3 millimeters. Then, group all of the shapes together.
• Finally, you want to create a default box and color it brown.
• Then you give the box a radius of 2. Finally, resize the dimensions to 22 millimeters width, 51 millimeters length, and 28 millimeters height, push the box behind the cylinders, and group them together.
Creating the Irrigation System
Now we are going to create the piping system for the planter. The water will travel through here and hydrate the plants. We can now follow the steps shown.
• First, drag and drop a cubic hole from the basic shapes compartment on to the workspace.
• Resize it to 44 millimeters length, 15 millimeters width, and 20 millimeters height and position the hole in the middle of the box and levitate the hole up 15 millimeters.
• Next, group all of the shapes together to form the hole inside the box. This is where the water for your plants will be stored. Also, drag and drop a hole cylinder from the basic shapes category.
• Now, make the length and the width 4 millimeters, and make the height 20 millimeters. Go ahead and duplicate it so that there are 8 of the same cylinders.
• Next, position 2 holed cylinders on the right planting pot around the center (reference image). Then, 2 on the left pot around the center.
• Next, group it. These holes will serve as a drain to prevent your plants from getting overwatered.
• Now, rotate the remaining cylinders 90 degrees and rotate the remaining cylinders 90 degrees again (reference Image).
• Go and use 2 holed cylinders to connect the box to the right pot 17 millimeters off the ground. Do the same for the left (Reference image). Finally, group them. You are all done now!
Explanation of How It Works and the Benefit of Using This
So basically the main advantage of using this is that it delivers water to the roots of the plant, which is where it needs it most. Generally when we water a plant it from above it, we only give water to the soil on top of the pot. But with this you can just fill up the water in the reservoir, and the system will water the plant at this roots. This method uses less water while still giving the plant the water it needs to grow. Many farmers use this method, which is called "Drip Irrigation". They use it in many places where water is scarce and the weather is dry and hot. Drip irrigation uses same amount of water directly at the roots, thus saving water while still nourishing the plant. I hope you found my tutorial interesting and helpful, and thanks for looking at my project!
