There's a lot of free food in nature, just make sure you know how to recognize the edible plants.

Here's a recipe how to make nettle "steaks" and a free natural salad from dandelions, daisies and plantago.

Ingredients:

- nettle, potatoes, carrots, onions, spices, white flour, breadcrumbs.

Collect nettle and put it under cold water for about 10 minutes.

Prepare potatoes, carrots and onions.

Cook the nettle, potatoes and carrots together for about 20 mins.

When it's done, add onions and spices to the mix and blend it all together.

When you get a nice green spread, add breadcrumbs and white flour until you get a nice firm texture, so you can "model" your "steaks".

Bake the "steaks" in an oven for about 30 mins or fry them in a pan.

For the salad, put the dandelions, daisies and plantago in cold water, rinse them, cut into small pieces and serve them with lemon juice.
