Sieve all the "dry" ingredients through the sifter into the kitchen container. Add any aroma like vanillin or colouring like curcuma. Then add the water and the vegetable oil. Use the handheld electric mixer to stir everything together. The outcome will not be a dough, it will be more something like crumbles.

Now take everything out of the container and knead it with your hands on
the silicon baking mat to form a ball. If it's too wet, add more flour, if it's too dry, add a little vegetable oil. It should not leave any grease on the surface.

The kids can use it as clay as the dough is not sticky and doesn't need any flour on the surface underneath.

Put it in a ziplock bag if the kids don't want to play with it anymore. You probably need to add a little bit vegetable oil when they want to play with it again. Throw it into the garbage if it starts smelling. But if the kids did not add too much dirt with their hands to the clay you can actually put it into a stove and bake it at 150°C (300°F) for 12 minutes.
