They always say we should eat the rainbow. And I was curious what that could taste like, so I decided to make a healthy fruit salad that resembles a rainbow.

Supplies

IMG_2721.jpeg

a big bowl

12 small bowls

a paper towel

sieve

cutting board

a knife

a cup

fork/spoon

10-15 strawberries

1 pomegranate

1/2 watermelon

2 cups red currants

1 mango

2-3 apricots

1-2 bananas

1/2 pineapple

2 apples

3 kiwis

2 cups blueberries

2 cups black berries

Preparing the Pomegranate

First cut about 3 cm into the pomegranate and then try to rip it open. Then do it again with the two halves. Carefully pull out the pomegranates seeds into a bowl and make sure to throw the white skin away. Lastly put the bowl into the refrigerator so that it stays cold while you prepare the other fruits.

Preparing the Currants

First put 2 cups of currants into a sieve and carefully wash them with cold water. Next lay them onto a paper towel so they can dry. After 5-10 min remove the stems and put the currants in a small bowl and into the refrigerator.

Preparing the Strawberries

IMG_2782.jpeg

First wash the strawberries and then lay them on a paper towel to dry. Then cut the strawberries in half but just slightly next to the stem because now you can cut left next to the stem and then right and the stem will come out. Now cut them in quarters and put them in a bowl in the refrigerator.

Preparing the Watermelon

First cut the watermelon in half and put the rest away because you will only need one half. Now cut some 5 cm wide stripes and then cut along the peel. Do that with the other stripes too. Then cut the watermelon in bite size pieces.

Preparing the Mango

IMG_2816.jpeg

To prepare the mango you want to start by cutting off the skin. Then when that is done cut next to the mango seed. (you may as well eat the remaining mango attached to the seed of :)) Next cut the mango into stripes and then again but from the other side. Lastly put the mango into a bowl and into the fridge.

Preparing the Apricot

IMG_2798.jpeg

Before you cut the apricot make sure you have washed it. Now cut the apricot in half and just like the strawberry cut left and right from the stem so the stem comes out.Them cut the two halves in half so they are bite size pieces. You may already know this but just in case: put the bowl in the refrigerator.

Preparing the Banana

First peel the banana and then cut it into 1 cm thick slices. After that half these slices and put them into the refrigerator.

Preparing the Apple

IMG_2819.jpeg

First wash the apple and lay it on a paper towel to dry. After that cut the apple in half and cut left next to the stem and right. Then pull out the stem and cut the two halves in half. Then cut as many little pieces out from the halves as you'd like.

Preparing the Pineapple

To begin cut the two ends from the kiwi off. Then cut the skin away by cutting around the kiwi. Now cut the kiwi in stripes and then turn the kiwi around and also cutting stripes which will turn them into cubes. Put the bowl into the fridge.

Preparing the Blueberries
