Easy Way to Make Bag for Utensils

Since I started working, I always opted to bring my own lunch. And my mother would put my eating utensils in a small clear disposable plastic bag. Since I wanted to go green by recycling some stuffs found around he house, I thought it would be a great idea to make a small bag for my spoon and fork.
I had this sudden stroke of genius and thought of using umbrella sleeves/cover (I really don't know what it's called. Look at picture for reference.). We have a lot of this lying around because I live in  a tropical country.

Materials

Materials needed:
-umbrella cover
-scissors
-needle
-string
-corded rope/ shoelace
-cutter or blade

Open Seams

Open seams of the flap using a blade or cutter or any sharp tool. Be extra careful in handling any sharp objects!
Now you have holes where the rope would go in.

Sew the Seams

Sew the seams. Be careful not to sew them together.
Do this with the other hole.

Insert Rope

Insert corded rope through one hole and out at other. To make this step easier, tie one end of the rope to a safety pin. This will make inserting the rope more hassle free.
Then tie both ends together

Insert Spoon and Fork

Use bag everyday to reduce usage of plastic bags! :3
