This instructable will be a simple one that anyone can do. It will allow a compact storage of paracord around a pen or pencil. This could be useful for camping and you have writing utensils you could wrap them in paracord.

What You Need

You will need paracord (I used red 330 paracord), a pencil, and optional two rubberbands.

Preperation

For this step you will need everything. What you will do is rubberband one edge of the rope to one end of the pencil. Next you will ruberband a loop onto the pencil, but make sure it hangs off the pencil a little bit.

Wrapping

After you have clipped the ends down you need to wrap the cord around the pencil until you reach the edge of the loop.

The Final Step

In this step you will be pulling the remaining bit of the string through the loop. Afterwords you will pull the string that you had original made with the rubberband, this should tighten the loop and pull the string into the wraps.

**Sorry about the blurry picture I took these on my phone.

Unwrapping

To unwrap the cord you will have to pull the remaining end of the part that got pulled into the wrapping and the loop should show back up. Pull the string out of the loop and unravel the string from the pencil or pen.

**Note:You can cut the cord you pulled to shrink the loop and cut the line sticking out of the loop as long as there is room to pull out the loop again.
