Easy, Fast, Safe, Cheap Bloody Nail Through Finger - Craft for Halloween Fundraiser Gathering

I came up with this for our school's Boo Bash fundraising event. This was at our Mutation Station. It was very easy, cheap (less than $20), and a BIG hit for kids of all ages.

Affordable Things Needed for Bloody Nail

Needed-

Hot Glue Gun

Black Foam Paper (a little goes a long ways)

Hole Punch

Black Stir Straws 10-100 (ask local coffee shop for some)

Medical Tape or Bandages like Band-aid

Scissors

Hole poke or Large nail (size of straw)

Fake Blood (easy to make or buy)

Poke holes with Poke through Medical Tape centered about 1” apart (adjust according to persons size)

Insert 1 Nail Head and 1 Nail Tip into holes enough so they stick onto the tape

Wrap around finger and apply Fake Blood (Can also be place on forehead, arm, hand etc... with minor adjustments)

Making the Nail Head Ahead of Time

Prior to event- Make “Nail Heads” - can make about 100 in 5 minutes

Cut Stir straws 1/2”-1” Hole punch Foam Paper for round cut-outs Hot glue gun round foam cut-outs onto tip of straws,1 second each (make as many as needed- 10-300) Can also make Nail Tips (1” straw bits with tip cut at an angle)

At Event Apply to Persons

At event- Need- Straws, Scissors, Fake Blood, Nail Poke and Pre- Made Nail heads

How to- About 1 minute. Easy enough for kids 10 and up.

Cut strip of Medical tape about 2” long and 1/2” to 1” wide if needed

Cut stir straw at an angle at very tip of 1” long straw for the Nail Tip

Poke holes with Poke through Medical Tape centered about 1” apart (adjust according to persons size)

Insert 1 Nail Head and 1 Nail Tip into holes enough so they stick onto the tape

Wrap around finger and apply Fake Blood (Can also be place on forehead, arm, hand etc... with minor adjustments)
