Easy Washi Tape Feathers!

Ive seen these everywhere for a few months and thought I'd share the idea with the instructables community. the general idea is to make a feather out of washi tape and use it for like decoration. when I first saw this I was like "what do I need a washi tape feather for????" but then I realized you can use them for like earrings and pendants and stuff like that.

the supplies are very few, but washi tape I know is not a common household object, so I will link some in the list. washi tape can be used for so many things, so I recommend doing some research of things to do if you buy washi tape.

1. wire (preferably thin)
2. scissors
3. Washi tape

just cover the like 1-2 inch piece of wire with the washi tape of your choice. Do as much as shown in the pictures above.

Now you just cut the washi tape into the shape and texture of a feather. so like a oval shorter at one end and longer on the other. then make tiny cuts to give the sides a fray.

I made mine a necklace, but you can make yours earrings or anything else. Tell me your ideas of how to use the feathers in the comments section. To make the necklace, I just looped the wire at the bottom and put it on a small chain.
