Easy Tinkercad Keychain

Today, I will teach you how to create a 3d printed keychain from scratch. This design was made in Tinkercad. Enjoy!

Supplies

The supplies for this project are:

*Tinkercad software

*Device with which you can access Tinkercad on

*3d printer or local maker space that has a 3d printer

*3d printing slicing software

*Pla filament

Keychain Base

When you open up Tinkercad, go to the design starter model page. Select keychain. Drag and drop the model onto the build plate.

Text

Select basic shapes. Select the text shape. Drag and drop the shape onto the keychain model. Write anything you would like on your keychain. Minimize the text to fit the keychain.

Fusing

Select the text. Drag the text height until it touches the keychain. Using the highlight tool, highlight both models. Click the group button.

Exporting and Printing

Click the export button. Export the file as an .stl file. Open your slicer program. Import your file in and slice it. Export the g-code file and send it to your 3d printer. Print the keychain in your favorite filament. Enjoy!
