Easy Textured Crochet Farmhouse Table Runner

There is always something so cozy and soothing about Handmade Crochet items that bring warmth and functionality in your day to day useful things around your home. The cool thing with making your own "Handmade Crochet" is that you can easily customize them and make it according the theme or color and size needed.
Today am sharing the pattern for Easy Textured Crochet Farmhouse Table Runner. I love making Farmhouse Themed Crochet Projects. The color palette often used for the Farmhouse Theme feels so natural and rustic.
This Table Runner pattern is a One Row Repeat Pattern. This pattern is made with just the basic crochet stitches - Double Crochet Cluster and Single Crochets . These two stitches worked together creates the lovely thick texture. This makes the Table Runner very much durable.

Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Chain 40.
You can adjust the size by altering these stitches according to your requirement.
Start with any Even Number of Chains.

Round 2:-
1 Single Crochet in the Second Chain from the hook.
1 Single Crochet each in the remaining stitches.
Once you reach end, Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Chain method to make the Turning Chain.
Straight Edge Turning Chain:-
Usually you would Chain 2, turn and start working the next round. Here is a quick tip to have a nice straight edge .
- Insert the hook into the 1st chain from the bottom.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You should have 2 loops on the hook.
- Turn your project and insert the hook into the first stitch.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You will have 3 loops on the hook.
- Again, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You will have 2 loops on the hook.
- Lastly, yarn over and pull through 2 loops.
- This will make one Double Crochet.

Round 3:-
1 Double Crochet is already made with the Turning Chain.
Skip 2 Stitches.
1 Single Crochet in the next stitch.
1 Double Crochet Cluster in the same stitch(i.e. in the same stitch of the Single Crochet.
**Usually while finishing the Double Crochet Cluster, you would Chain 1 and finish the stitch. Here while doing the cluster stitch do not Chain 1 at the end.
Repeat((1SC,1DC Cluster)- both in the same stitch) Sk 2).
1 Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Once you reach end, Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Chain method mentioned in the previous round to make the Turning Chain.
To Make a Double Crochet Cluster Stitch:-
- Yarn over, insert the hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook.(This is same as doing a Double Crochet Stitch. It is just that , you don't finish the Double Crochet Stitch and continue doing the first part of the Double Crochet Stitch again and again). You should have 2 loops on the hook.
- Yarn over, insert the hook in the same stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You should have 3 loops on the hook.
- Continue with the first part of Double Crochet stitch untill you have 4 loops on the hook.
- Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 4 loops on the hook.

Round 4:-
** This Round onwards we will be working only into the Single Crochets from the previous Round.
1 Double Crochet is already made with the Turning Chain.
In the next Single Crochet make - (1 Single Crochet ,1 Double Crochet Cluster in the same stitch)
Repeat((1SC,1DC Cluster)- both in the same stitch) in each of the Single Crochets).
1 Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Once you reach end, Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Chain to make the Turning Chain.

Round 5 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 4 untill the size needed and Weave off.
