In this Instructable you will learn to make a soft, cuddly toy that can also be used as an Easter decoration.

Supplies

1x medium women's sock

1x pom pom

2x 10mm Flat-backed Eyes

Felt: pink and white

2 cups of Rice

1/8 in. Ribbon

Tools:

Scissors

Hot glue gun

Needle and thread

Cut the Sock

The first thing we need to do is cut the heel of the sock off.

This will leave us a tube with the toe at one end.

Filling the Sock

Pour 2 cups of rice into the sock. This is easiest if you have someone to hold the sock open for you. Otherwise, a funnel can also work.

Grab the top of the sock like in the 1st picture and tap it on the table to settle the rice. It is settled when the sock looks gourd-like as in the 2nd picture.

Take about 5 ft. of thread and sew a running stitch through the top of the sock. Before you pull the stitch tight, tuck the top of the sock in and then pull it tight.

Sew another running stitch through the sock like in the 2nd picture and pull it tight.

Making the Head

To make the rabbit's head we need to squeeze the sock about 2/3 from the bottom.

Take 1 ft. of 1/8 in. ribbon and tie a bow around the rabbit's neck. Trim as needed.

Making the Ears

Now it is time for the most distinct part of the rabbit––the ears!

Take your white felt and fold it in half. This will make it so you only have to cut this part once.

Cut a shape like a rabbit's ear (see the 1st picture) that is about 2 in. tall x 1 in. wide.

Do the same with the pink felt but make it 1 3/4 in. tall x 3/4 in. wide.

Hot glue the ear pieces together like in the 3rd picture.

Last, glue them to the top of the rabbit 3/4 in. - 1 in. apart.

Making the Feet and Arms

Now it is time for the feet and arms.

Fold the white felt again and cut 1 in. x 2 in. ovals for the feet and 3/4 in. x 1 1/2 in. ovals for the arms.

Now take your pink felt and cut two 1/2 in. circles and six 1/4 in. circles.

Hot Glue the pink circles on to the feet like in the 2nd picture.

Now glue the feet (picture 3) and arms (picture 4) to the rabbit's body.

Making the Tail and Face

The tail is really easy to add. All you need to do is glue the pompom to the back of the rabbit.

For the face, cut a small pink triangle out for the rabbit's nose.

Now glue the eyes and nose to the face.

Last but not least, add two dots of blush with a q-tip.

Conclusion

Now you have finished your Easy Sock Easter Bunny. These make a cute soft toy to play with and can also be used as an Easter decoration.
