Easy Reindeer Brownies
My name is Yasmine Mckenzie. In the Freshman Culinary class that I am taking, we are in the middle of a creative art project. The challenge is to see who in the class can come up with the most creative and tastiest project! These delicious brownies are easy to make and delicious to eat!
Supplies
Ingredients For Brownies:
1 cup butter
1 ⅔ cups Granulated sugar
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
1 cup flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
¾ teaspoons salt
24 red gumdrops
48 mini marshmallows
48 mini m and ms
48 mini candy canes
Ingredients For Frosting:
½ cup Butter (room temp)
2 cups Confectioners sugar
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ cup milk
Tools Needed:
13x9 baking pan
toothpick
mixing bowl
whisker
microwave-safe bowl
Preheat
Preheat oven to 350F. Line 13x9 pan with foil leaving 2-inch-overhang. Coat with nonstick cooking spray.
Melt and Mix
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 1 cup butter. Stir in sugar until dissolved. Add eggs and vanilla, stirring until blended.
Stir
Stir in flour, 1 cup cocoa powder, and salt until a batter forms.
Bake
Spread evenly in a prepared baking pan and bake 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool
Cool 15 minutes in pan. Using foil overhang transfer brownie to wire rack and cool completely.
Frosting
beat 1/2 cup butter until creamy. Combine confectioners' sugar and 2/3 cup cocoa powder in bowl and whisk until blended. Reduce mixer speed and gradually add confectioners’ sugar mixture until blended. Add milk and beat until creamy and smooth.
Cut
Cut brownie horizontally into two sections. Cut each section into 5 triangles
Decorate and Frost
Frost the brownies. Decorate each triangle with two candy eyes, two antlers and a red nose

Overall, this project was extremely successful and fun! It not only teaches the basics of baking brownies, but it also teaches the basics of decorating and frosting! Working with a partner or a group makes the experience so much more fun so if you are going to attempt this project, I would do it with a friend!
