An easy Pizza dough recipe requiring less than 10 minutes from start to having your dough rising. After an hour you will shape your dough and be ready to make a pizza.

After trying numerous pizza crust recipes I finally found my favorite last year. The only thing I didn’t love was that it required me to dust off my reliable 15 year old bread maker and limited me to making only one pizza crust per hour.

Here is the original recipe with the same ingredients we will use but without the bread machine required by the original recipe. https://www.cdkitchen.com/recipes/recs/397/PizzaDoughBreadMachine62305.shtml

Supplies

Equipment -
Mixer with dough hooks*
Medium mixing bowl
Thin dish towel

Ingredients -
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons of warm water 95-110 degrees
2 1/2 teaspoons yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons oil
1 tsp salt
3 cups bread flour**

* I use a handheld Black & Decker
** You can substitute all purpose flour instead of bread flour but I am not as happy with the crust when I do this but have done it in a pinch

Put Ingredients in Mixing Bowl

Put all of your ingredients in your mixing bowl, in the order listed below.
Ingredients -
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons of warm water 95-110 degrees
2 1/2 teaspoons yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons oil
1 tsp salt
**3 cups bread flour

** you can substitute all purpose flour instead of bread flour but I am not as happy with the crust when I do this but have done it in a pinch

Mix With Dough Hooks for 5 Minutes

Using your dough hooks on your mixer, you will start to form your dough by getting everything thoroughly formed in to one solid dough ball. This should take about 4-5 minutes on low-medium.

Knead for 5 Minutes

Now you will pull your dough out of the bowl and just play with it like it’s a stress ball for another 4-5 minutes. You can tell when it’s done as it gets a nice smooth even texture

Rest & Rise

Now leave your dough covered with your thin dish towel on a lightly flowered countertop for about an hour or until ready to make your pizza.
