Easy Overnight Oats
In this instructable, I will show you how to make overnight oats. This homemade overnight oats recipe is easy to make. Oatmeal is a healthy food that you can make for breakfast. You can add all kinds of ingredients to make it as healthy as you want, like berries, chia seeds, nuts, etc. Or you can add other things to make it not as healthy like sugar, oh yeah sugar. Whatever you add they are simple to make. It takes about two minutes to put it together the night before, and then in the morning, breakfast is served! No need to cook anything. No need to boil water. Prepare it in a mason jar and you already have something to eat it in, no need for a bowl. If I can do it, you can do it! Let's get started!

Ingredients and Tools
You can print the recipe here on my website.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats (50g)
- 1 tbsp. white granulated sugar (15g)
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- (2g) pinch of salt (less than 1g)
- 1 cup whole milk (1%, 2%, Almond Milk, Coconut Milk, Water, etc.)
- 1/2 cup Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries, Raisins, Chia Seeds, Nuts, etc.
Tools:
- Mason jar that holds at least 2 cups (16 ounces or 480ml)
- Lid
- spoon
- knife for slicing fruit
Dry Ingredients
First, take a mason jar and add in the oats, salt, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir the ingredients with a spoon or fork. You may also use a bowl if you like. Mason jars are great because they have a convenient lid.
Milk, Fruit, Stir, Lid
Now pour in your liquid, in this case, milk, you can use whatever you like. Water, almond milk, coconut milk, etc. are all good replacements for normal milk. Then add your fruit. You can use all of one kind of fruit like strawberries or mix and match. You will need around a 1/2 of a cup worth. Stir everything together and then add the lid. Place in the fridge overnight. Hence the name "overnight" oats. They need at least 8 hours of soaking time.
Stir and Enjoy!
The next morning remove the overnight oats from the fridge and give it a good stir. At this point add more fresh fruit if you like. Time to eat it! Easy as that. If you want it warm you can heat it up in the microwave.
