Easy One Row Repeat Crochet Table Runner Pattern

One Row Repeat Crochet patterns often make the most simple and quick projects. Today am sharing the tutorial for a Easy One Row Repeat Crochet Table Runner Pattern . Simple Crochet stitches makes the most lovely table runners. The pattern is made with only Half Double Crochets worked in bunches. This creates a lovely texture and volume.
You can use solid color yarn or a self stripping cake or variegated yarn to add a splash of color to the runner. This pattern with work with any yarn of your choice. If you want a delicate piece of runner, you can try using lace or Thread yarn.

4 Ply Cotton Knitting Yarn
4 mm Crochet Hook

Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Chain 36 + 2 Chain extra for the Turning Chain.
This measures around 8 inches.
You can adjust the size by altering these stitches according to your requirement.
Start with any Multiple of 4 + 2 Chains extra for the Turning Chain.
Round 2:-
4 Half Double Crochets In the 5th Chain from the hook.
Skip 3 stitches.
4 Half Double Crochets in the next stitch.
Skip 3.
Repeat(4HDC,Sk 3)
1 Half Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Once you reach end, Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Chain to make the Turning Chain.
Straight Edge Turning Chain:-
Usually you would Chain 2, turn and start working the next round. Here is a quick tip to have a nice straight edge .
- Insert the hook into the 1st chain from the bottom.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You should have 2 loops on the hook.
- Turn your project and insert the hook into the first stitch.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You will have 3 loops on the hook.
- Lastly, yarn over and pull through all the 3 loops.
- This will make one Half Double Crochet.
Round 3:-
**This round we will be making the stitches only in the 4th Stitch of the 4 Half Double Crochet bunch.
4 Half Double Crochets into each of the 4th Stitch of the Half Double Crochet bunch.
1 Half Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Once you reach end, Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Chain mentioned in the previous round to make the Turning Chain.
Round 4 Onwards:-
Keep Repeating Round 3 untill the size needed and weave off.
