Easy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

I made these cookies because they are so good and are my favorite thing to bake with my mom.

Supplies

Supplies

  1. Stand mixer
  2. Medium bowl
  3. Parchment paper
  4. Soft spatula
  5. Baking sheet

Ingredients

  1. Flour
  2. Baking soda
  3. Baking power
  4. Salt
  5. Coconut oil
  6. Light brown sugar
  7. Granulated sugar
  8. Large egg
  9. Vanilla extract
  10. Old fashioned oats
  11. Dark chocolate chip

Get Out Your Ingredients/Preheat the Oven

For this step you will want to take out all of the ingredients above and preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Measure Out Dry Ingredients and Mix!

Measure out...

  1. 1 cup of flour
  2. 1/2 teaspoon baking power
  3. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  4. 1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix!

Measure Out Wet Ingredients and Mix!

Measure out...

  1. 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  2. 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  3. 1/2 coconut oil

Mix!

Add in the Egg and Vanilla

One the wet ingredients are mixed together add in the egg and vanilla and mix until combined.

Combining Wet and Dry

Once you have the mixed wet ingredients, slowly mix in the dry ingredients with the mixer on low.

Add in the Oats and Chips

Once the wet ingredients and the dry ingredients are combined add in 2/3 cups of oats and 1 cup of chocolate chips and stir with spatula until combined.

Form Dough Into Balls

Line your baking sheet with parchment paper and form dough into balls the size of 2 tablespoons, making 3 rows of 4. (Makes 2 batches for a total of 24 cookies)

Bake!

Make at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
