Ever want delicious home-made bread but don’t want to deal with the hassle of yeast? Don’t have enough money to buy all of the ingredients to make a fancy bread? I have the perfect solution for you. This recipe is easy to make, low-cost, and no yeast is required. The best thing of all is the ingredients are common household ingredients so you will have to spend little to nothing to make it.

Supplies

The Ingredients needed to make the bread are: 4 cups of flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 ½ cups of milk. You will also need a baking sheet, a medium sized mixing bowl, a measuring cup, and a teaspoon.

Pre-Heat

The first thing that you will want to do is pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees.

Mix Your Ingredients

Then you will mix all of the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt).

Preparing Your Baking Sheet

After that you will prepare the baking sheet by spreading flour on it so the dough will not stick.

Then mix the milk into the dry ingredients and stir until dough forms. Once the dough has formed you will want to knead the dough briefly until it has a uniform consistency. After you get the consistency you want, you will need to shape the dough into a round disc about an inch and a half thick and score, form an X on, the top. Getting the size, shape, and consistency correct is VERY important. If you don’t do those things correctly it will not cook properly.

Lastly, you will put the dough in the oven for 35 minutes. If you need to bake longer that is okay, bake until the bread is pale brown on the top and hollow sounding when tapped on the bottom.

Enjoy!!!
