Easy Laser Cut Clock

This is a clock generated on the Full Spectrum Laser, for a 2-part program at the Barrington Area Library. Patrons can design a basic clock design on Inkscape, download as a .svg file, cut on the laser cutter, and assemble. Voila!

Inkscape is a free program for designing .svg (scalable vector graphic) files for cutting on the laser cutter. The laser cutter recognizes red lines as cut lines. Create a circle with a small circle inside, and duplicate it. Add numbers or designs in any sizes or fonts.

We purchase our acrylic through inventables.com. Follow the instructions and settings on the laser cutter software to cut. We use a Full Spectrum Laser.

Glue the clock face to the clock back. Using a clock assembly kit, screw the clock hands to the battery pack. The clock should function normally! The battery pack typically comes with a hook for quick installation on a wall.
