These arm warmers are super soft and easy for anyone to knit.

Make a slip knot by twisting a section of the yarn into a loop, then pull the yarn through the loop. Leave the end about twice as long as you want the arm warmer to be, then cast on enough to wrap around your hand (not including your thumb) or your arm as far as you want the arm warmer to go.

Knit

Knit by sticking the right needle up through the yarn behind the left needle, wrap the yarn up around the right needle and pull it through onto the right needle, then slip the stitch off the left needle. Knit as many rows as you need to make it as long as you want the arm warmer to be.

Cast Off

Cast off by knitting two stitches then pulling the first one over the second one, then knit one more and pull the first one over again. Repeat until you’re on the last stitch, then pull the yarn through the last stitch. Cut the yarn and pull it all the way through (make this end about 6 inches long).

Sew Sides Together

Fold your arm warmer around your arm to figure out how much you need to overlap, make the side that will be on top of your arm overlap the side that will be on the bottom. Take your yarn needle and use the shorter end to sew the sides together at the top to make the portion that goes above your thumb. Make the side that will be on top of your arm overlap the side that will be on the bottom. Use the long end to sew the sides together from the bottom leaving a hole for your thumb. Turn your arm warmer inside out, sew in the remaining ends and trim.
